Hummy, is a honeybee who has finally grown big enough to take on the important duties of a forager. She doesn't want to let the other bees down so she worries about many things. Will she be able to find pollen and nectar to bring back to the colony? What if she gets lost and can't find her way back? And even if she manages to return to the hive with food, will she remember how to dance to tell the others where the food is located? Hummy bravely overcomes her fears and surprises even herself by becoming a superb forager.
Hummy will inspire every child to overcome fear of failure and encourage them to try new things. Just like Hummy, they will see just how much they truly are capable of.

See What Others Have Said
- Review by Karen (Goodreads):
My daughter loved this! She has already read it 3x and now told me she wants a honeybee as a pet. But that aside, this was a well-written easy-to-follow book with a great flow, interesting storyline, and wonderful illustrations. It chronicles the life of a honeybee (named Hummy) who as a forager it is her duty to locate food for her swarm. It describes her habitat and how they live, as well as the rituals and behaviors of honeybees, most of which even I never knew before. There is a sense of accomplishment at the end and has a great overall message. Looking forward to more from this author in the future.
